burst of thrust/ hard shift when auto tranny shifts into second gear

Burst of thrust and hard shift(uncomfortable shifting) when auto tranny shifts into second gear, it feels like the motor mounts are gone, but they are in good condition. Do you think its a tranny problem? I just changed my tranny oil yesterday and the hard shift is still there, any solutions???

Remember auto tranny and motor mounts are good!

Mine does the same thing. I always thought it was because I would give it lots of gas, then look at tach and go "whoa, those revs are high" and then let off on the gas right as it shifts, causing a sudden change in HP/torque.

I have same condition only when driving slowly then needed to hit the gas on the street. This problem was lessened with not Transmission fluid....

Now it only happens if I am doing less than 10 then hit the accelerator hard ......

Thanx www.se-r.net for helping me solve my problem. It was my EGR valve it needed to be cleaned.

WOW really maybe I can get rid of mine totally now .. How hard was it to do Eric ?

It real easy to clean, all you need to do is buy some carb and choke cleaner and read this link... You can even do an easy test by removing the little hose between the EGR and BPT valve to see if thats the problem before cleaning.
