ummmmm, i'm not sure if someone said this or if you just didn't realize that M5's aren't automatics. they only come with 6 speeds, atleast the newer nicer ones do.

yeah dude, i can't stand those people, i admit, i didn't pay for my car, it used to be my dads car, and when my parents paid it off, they gave it to me. but i pay for my insurance, and all the mods i put onto the cat. the only thing my parents paid for on my car, is my cd player, cause it was a birthday present and it was only 160$. all my friends whos mommy's and daddy's bought them a brand new car when they turned have all wrecked their car by now. they don't knoiw crap about their cars. a friend of mine came to me yesterday and said he needed a brake job, and when i took his caliper off, he had no pad left. it was metal to metal, he totally f***ed up his rotors. some people just don't know when to do maintanence.

and my defense begins:

1. M5 was just one of a large number of cars mentioned by 40oz at the time of my posting....

2. I said "theyd want their mommies to sit in the car and shift for them", which is implying that they were manuals, since someone is shifting for them!

3. It was just a remark made toward preps in general.

sorry to go off like i did (and probably in many eyes, still am), had a bad day, shouldnt take it off on anyone on this board, and for that i apologize....but, i just dont like being told im wrong.....sorry

well my car's a 5 spd. and i'd never drive an auto.... auto's are the biggest shit, they're boring and for lazy ass people.
My dad wouldn't even buy me an auto car if i asked, i remember before i got mine, my dad was like "aright phil, are you a man? cause stick is for MEN and that's all you'll be driving"

Thumbs up

That was high school for me too. Now I'm in college, and not many people have cars like me. Some guys I met are also into cars like me and they know what they are talking about.

Everyone calls me one of them preppy kids with a car. Far from it. I'll admit, my dad bought me my Camaro, not like it was a $40,000 car! Take away 2 of those zeros. There's so many of those preppy kids in my school though. One kid's parents offered to buy him any car up to $55,000 for his b-day. Another has a really nice black Mercedes. One that left HS last year had a white Mercedes. Now for those people who think I'm spoiled, dont tell me I'm fucking preppy & rich. I have to work for everything for my car. I just didnt have to buy it. Thats all. *sigh* I am done with my typing for this post.
