hmmm.... I happen to own an acura rsx type s... and so far nothing on the road has been able to take me, well... anything stock and of course not counting vettes, ferari's and things like that . Not bragging but I honestly think you guys need to research it a little... The torque on this car is crazy... and I don't even know why you need the 6th gear on this thing... 125 in 5th gear at 4000 RPM??? Hmmm... Truth be told this car rocks... then again... I had an Audi A4 before (it sucked) so I guess anything is better.

lopan, don't get us wrong. the rsx-s is very fast. but the spec v is smokin fast too. i hadn't lost to anything on the road until this weekend. when a bmw m3 and a prowler pulled beside me and wanted to race. i lost majorly. and then later on an eclipse gsx wooped my butt too. but other than that, there aren't too many cars that can beat a spec v. i think that the rsx and the spec are too close....it mainly just depends on the driver. especially on the street.

redneck...you crack me up. my friend has a 400 c.i. v8 in his 73 cuda and man does that thing scream. it runs low 12's. nothing can beat the power of a v8.

Yeah... I didn't mean to come in here and start steppin on toes... I just got this car so I'm still pretty excited about it. About the 125 in 5th gear, What sucks about the RSX is you zoom up to 125 then loose power, it'll get a little faster but not really that much. I need a chip to kill the speed governor I guess... I'd really like to be able to use 6th gear for something other then fuel conservation...

I hear what your saying Lopan, I too wish that sixth gear was used for something else than just a cruising gear. I hate the fact that the car can get to 120-125mph with no problem, and then it seems like I can't get it passed that. In recent threads on here people have claimed to have gone like 135. I don't how that's possible, unless they were going down a very slight hill or something.

Oh I wouldn't doubt it, the best I have done was 130, but I remember someone saying awhile back that they even did like 140. Unless we have different engines, I don't see how they did that ya know.

i've done 125 mph tops. i don't know how you guys get above that. the speedometer freezes at 125 mph. maybe the guy that was goin 140 was going on a 10 mile straightaway downhill slope with the wind going his way

How about 500 lbft from a Ford 400M with a mild street build

These kids with their Hondas and Nissans... they think they know the torque... I think they have to FEEL the torque!
