Re: How about a fabrication board?

I was thinking the same thing, and saw this post. Personally I would love a metal fabrication board that would cover all aspects of metal fabrication, from sheet forming, to welding.

Hell yeah. That would be awesome if they made one. It might not happen for a while, but if it does, I'm sure more than a few people would be posting there.

If I get enough feedback, I could probably get it done pretty fast. As the new forum grew I may get subforums added like, Fiberglass, Metalworking, Welding. And have the main forum a general purpose forum. But I guess that would make the main forum be pretty useless with the sub-forums. I guess we just have to see how it goes.

Hey Jlad, I sent you a PM a couple days ago. I'm adding a poll to this, hope you dont mind.

Hope you don't mind Mike, but I stole part of your sig. What kinds of custom work do you do other than sheet metal? I'm 16 too and it's pretty awesome to see people like us doing this kind of work at this age.

Fiberglass, carbonfiber, beginnings of lead work, um, what else is there?

Thanks for putting that in your sig. After the forum is made I will advertise it continually in my sig.

Re: How about a fabrication board?

Yeah, great idea.... There are a lot of poeple here that ask about putting new quarters on a car, or fabbing up a body kit, or a hood scoop, etc. Chalk up another vote for it.

I'll get behind this too.

I'm a welder by trade, but last year I took a condensed full time program of first and second year metal fabrication apprenticeship, and I can't get enough of this stuff.

Now let's just see if we can get a few more mods onboard to whine at Igor

Got my Vote.

I don't know how to do any of that stuff, well... I can do bondo repair.

And maybe a little bit of fiberglass stuff if I sat down and read the instructions. But yeah, a forum would be a cool idea. Everbody can learn something at some point.
