yes, one end goes to your dx harness and the other end into the p28 ecu.

the pics are too big...so here are 2 thumbnail pics

you can find the full size at my swap page

on the big pics you will see 8 wires wrapped in tape. those are the 8 wires to be extended...the rest is plug n' play. as you can see, much easier than 50 wires.

the 8 wires go to:
(4) go to 4 wire o2 sensor
(1) to knock sensor
(1) to vtec solenoid
(1) to check engine light
(1) ? dang it i forgot

i can't remember the last one off the top of my head...maybe gunnmen does

Ok, so the 8 wires are extra wires from the p28 ecu that the DX harness wouldn't normally have, right? Just need to be extended from the wiring harness to thier proper places?
Wiring harness looks most worth the money now looking at it! Wouldn't want to try that myself
But that doesn't take care of the fact that the DX has dual point fuel injection does it? Would I still have to add anything for that, or does using the p28 ecu take care of that lil' problem?

Sorry so many questions, but I think I am going to try and do this swap on my own, so I'm trying to get everything pretty exact, as far as what I know and cannot understand from all the "how to do" websites you've provided.

And I'm still unsure about the DX throttle cable... cause I know I read somewhere (can no longer remember nor find where) that the DX has an abnormally long throttle cable, and one from an Si or HF has to be used... is this true, or does anyone know for sure?

I dont remember the 8th wire either, i have only talked to Ami about it, never seen one.The p28 ecu will run everything else with that adapter from Jon.As for the dx throttle cable you can use it, i used mine, just takes a little creative looping to get it to lay right.

You can use the throttle cable of off any 4th gen model that has multi point fuel injection stock. I used the cable off of a CRX HF and it works fine.

Due to what I said I've read, I didn't find your answer informative enough.

But I understand now, thanks to gunnmen01.

knock sensor?

P28 ECUs don't require a knock sensor. Only 92+ B-series VTEC,98+ CRV,and 96+ EX (possibly HX) ECUs do.
Also,if you do use the fuel injectors off that newer engine, you will need to bypass the fuel injector resistor on Si models.
Your firewall will also be free of that MAP sensor and EVAP purge solenoid (one near the throttle body)

Z6 block/Y8 head.Pardon the mess,it hasn't been driven over 4 years now

where the injector resistor box used to sit

slammed....

yeah im still using the DX tranny.. sucks for accelerating man. when you hit 4th or 5th gear its like hitting a wall. it just dont accelerate any faster than that. i have to hope i can pick up enough speed by shifting at like 7100 rpm

I like the DX Tranny. It doesn't accelerated as fast but when you are on the highway and after you hit 70 it rolls damn well.
