Thanks mate for the compliment...you know, it is nicely tuned by Nagata San of Top Secret. Despite the mods and monster power, it is my daily driver to and fro work (circa 70km). Can's wait to see the result of your mod. Should be pushing 450-500 horses! Better perfect yoyr double clutching technique soon! But hey, with those mods, would you need double clutching?

So to cap off, unless I really have my wires crossed, you do NOT double clutch when trying to go fast because you just slow down too much between gears.

The Fast & Furious movie has a lot to answer for!!!!

R33 - its best not to give advice when you don't know what you are talking about. If you are going hard, and shift quickly there wont be a big rpm gap. Your rpm will be lower at the same speed in the next gear anyway. Double clutching when upshiftin is also silly because you are spending time coasting.
With an awesome car like you have it deserves to be driven properly. Have you taken your cars to any track days? They are great fun and if you get a race driver/instructor to teach you some stuff its really handy (done this with drifting)

That picture / explanation was great dude.

Double clutching on downshifts also wears the clutch and gear sychros less.

Hi Slip, don't be too hard on me mate! I wasn't giving any advice to Twuble on the gearchange. In fact, I professed from the start that I am no expert! I was just giving my 2 cent's worth and as it turned out I was wrong. At least I learn something new!
However, I wouldn't say that I dunno how to drive my car either. Yes, I take advance driving lessons. And yes, I go to the track (the Sepang F1 track). And no, I have not crashed my car or other people's car on or off the track! FYI, my best time around that track is 2min 39 secs - which is 1 sec faster than the best lap recorded during the 12 hour endurance race at that track in 2000.
As for drifting, at first I thought there was something wrong with my car's handling! (that was a year ago). Now, i am begining to grasp the idea almost 3 times out of 5 I get it correctly done. But I must hasten to add, although drifting is fun, it is not the fastest way around the track!
