I love this website, but damn, this particular board is frustrating.I think I'll stick to my local Skyline forum,at least it doesn't get clogged up with posts from spotty American kids who know jack shit about Skylines.

Re: debate

any car would be able to drift.
ANY.
no where did you say it was better, but your other statement also noted that you think a car that's drifting through a corner on a GRIP track would have less traction and not be faster on a straight.

2 events that are not linked on a race track, and honestly, if you're sliding, even if it's just slightly, it's a quicker way around the corner.
full out drifting like D1 style is not quicker, but if you've ever seen a race at, oh, MidOhio for the Valvoline runoffs (on Speed) or another series there, there are a ton of cars that slide in turn 9. does that make them slower? no.
it's actually slightly quicker around the corner that way.

it's a matter of driving dynamics, and it's not the same cookie cutter idea for all corners, or all tracks. these are dynamic (that means "changing") situations, and you can't apply the same idea to every corner or track, as it's different everywhere.

Hey ray try to post after the comment it was directed to.

flylwsi that was a typing error sorry
you made great point but again in certain situations these cars would prevail, but you have to be able to acclerate around the turn also
Its not so much how fast you go around a turn but what is best for the turn so that you can do better.
