Haha a Chevette. Anyways. I would like to see a stock 240 take a stock Corvette in any type of race. And I'm not getting rid of the Corvette, I am purchasing an Import to tune. It's really weird that you say that though S14Kyle. I have heard the exact same story from my friend who had a 1990 Corvette...and she said her parents did all regular maitenece etc, and it shitted out every chance it got, to the point where they had to get rid of it. This car has never given me trouble...I take very good care of it of course, but maybe I am having good luck... What engine did your's happen to have? L98 or older? Or was it an LT1? Cause if it was an L98, then maybe it would explain a trend in the failure of those models....
I don't view purchasing a 240 a "step down" at all. I respect the car for what it is and what type of people own one, not how many cylinders it has or something else trivial. And yes, you are all right in saying I am more drag oriented. I have never attempted to drift or anything of the sort, but am not opposed to it. So I guess I wil be headed towards the KA-T now. So am I to assume that anyone who uses an SR to a street race is a poser?

We had an (don't laugh... lol) L-78 1979 Corvette. You may say it was the dog years, but the 68 Firebird was sort of ghetto too... BTW both were purchased new by my father, personally. The suburban was an 89, we didn't get the big block because it only had rwd, and whats the point in having an suv if it isnt 4wd? Chevy 350 Long history with the 350... Custom Cruiser, too, biatch! lol...(edit) the custom cruiser was a pain too, just not as bad as the sub and the vette... THE AIR CONDITIONING DIED the day we went to turn it in for our maxima, which is still running VERY strong, might I add.
