Isn't that amount of hp too much for a FRONT- WHEEL DRIVE CARS? CUZ USUALLY WHEN ANY CARS HAVE OVER 300 HP THEY R REAR-WHEEL OR ALL WHEEL DRIVE.

it all depends on your tranny an how strong it is built. thats what they make aftermarket tranny parts for also www.hlh0501.com/turbo.htm makes a turbo kit for the maxima which starts to produce boost at just 1500rpms and full boost at 2500rpms i think thats pertty awesome so just do your self a favor and just go turbocharged with such a small amount of lag i think a supercharger can't even compare P.S. i read a dyno post on the org, this guys putting down over 420fwhp at 11.5psi with a t04 turbo, thats awesome

yeah, in general, more than 300 hp in a front wheel drive is gonna cause big problems, no matter what...you can't eliminate torque steer because the same wheels that are causing the car to move forward also need to keep it in a straight line, and lots of power will interfer with that. vlsd definitely helps, but like i said, torque steer will still be noticeable

I'm thinkin the torque steer from that kind of setup would be almost undriveable. Maybe some huge-ass tires could even that out (big tires dampening some of the horsepower effect).

yes torque steer would be pertty bad with that kind of power but even our stock maximas have torque steer an there are lots of ways to over come just don't wot every time you take off an you shouldn't have that problem, well not that much of it any way. when i wot from a take off if both hands aren't on the wheel my car would be over whelm with torque steer and i would problily lose control an i'am not blown yet

if u asked cheston, he would prob tell u to go with the supercharger simply because u get power right at the beggining when u put ur foot on the gas,as where a turbo must spool up a little. get on his site and read some of the stuff that has happend tho. his supercharger belts have shreded, and jus shit like that. GET A TURBO and hell if u have the money, i saw a guy on the org a while back that had done a twin turbosetup and there are a couple of guys in NJ that said they have designed a twin turbo setup and when they put it in, it come wiht a new engine that hasbeen reworked so it wont wear down as fast as a stock engine

That is not true in the case of the Stealin' SC. It behaves more like a turbo and power doesn't kick in until 3k rpm. Its not a roots type SC, its more like a belt driven turbo.

Lighter tires are better for turbo setups. I heard that from a guy on the dot org.

no way, doesn't make sense that lighter tires would be better, if you are having problems with excessive wheelspin and torque steer, you want to keep the tires/wheels planted on the ground, and it takes more force to move a heavier object, effectively reducing wheelspin

Thats exactly what I was thinkin thrash. Put on some huge fat tires. So what if you take a hit to the horsepower - if you are spinnin your wheels then you are wasting HP anyway. So if you get over-horsed, then the best bet for you would be to put as muc of it to the ground, even if you lost some in the process. Makes sense , yes?

The guy I heard that from has a 430 horse Maxima(it is the most blown max known to anybody), and he was complaining because he put '02 SE wheels on his Max. He said he wished he still had his stock 97 SE wheels because they are lighter.
