CPS replacement {help needed}....

I have a '96 LSS non-supercharge auto-trans.
I am looking to replace the Crankshaft position sensor. It randomly dies ,not so often, then the check engine light came on couple days ago and I drove to Autozone to scan the code. It said something about the CPS , so I bought another one. The light went off about 10 mins later.
After finding the sensor it looks a little more complicated than I thought.
Can someone help me with the procedure for replacing this part?

Thanks,

The procedure can be found at autozone.com, repair guides. Or do a site search here, plenty of info.
