Driver door lock and keyless won't work

2001 Alero, 4 door

My driver's side door switch does nothing when I try to lock or unlock. However, the passenger's side works (locking/unlocking all doors). All doors will lock when I put the car in gear, and they will unlock when I turn off the engine, but not when I put it in park - like they used to. In addition, my remote keyless entry will no longer lock or unlock the doors or release the trunk.

I have moved the relays around to make sure it is not a relay problem. Since the passenger's side lock switch works properly, I can assume that the mechanical portion works okay.

I have been out of the country for a couple of years, and someone has been driving the car on occasion, but it has done a lot of sitting. Why won't my driver's side lock switch and my RKE work?

Thanks
