Exclamation Power Door locks and trunk not working

I have a 1999 Alero, that I love - its been a great car, but with all vehicles, its only a matter of time b4 something goes wrong.

The other day, my power door locks stopped working. I can still unlock the doors from the PDL, but they will not lock with the remote or the button !?!?!?! Also, the trunk button in the car and on the remote stopped working about a month ago, but didnt think anything of it - Are these problems related?

PS - thanks to msg guy, helped with the squeaky breaks- ceremic does totally help

Thanks
