1996 Toyota Camry LE brake problem
I just did a complete rear drum brake job on a 1996 Toyota camry LE 4 door 4 cylinder. Shoes, hardware, and new drums. Upon stopping now, only the right rear.....passenger rear.....makes a loud clacking noise on stopping. Any ideas?

Take it apart and make sure all the springs and adjuster are on correctly. Sounds like something is out of place.

Re: 1996 Toyota Camry LE brake problem
Yeah, something didn't get put back together right. For the drums, it's a good idea to do them one at a time. That way if you forget how something is installed you can always look at the other side.
First guesses would be a brake shoe hold-down spring or the shoe adjuster screw is not right.
