scraping noise from passenger side wheel

I just (yesterday) replaced my front brake pads and a rotor on the passenger side.
during last week there was a scraping noise on the same rotor and finally when i pulled in to my driveway the brakes finally failed and one of the brake pads fell off.
so the rotor and the pads were gone
i replaced the rotor and all front brake pads. after i was done with everything i took the car for a spin to see if everything is working fine but the scraping noise came back.

i lubed up the pistons and replaced all the clips that were is disc brake hardware kit

when i put the tire back on and spun it to see if everything was spinning fie there was a little bit of rubbing but i thought that was ok since the new rotor and pads were pretty close together
the scraping is there while driving and while braking
it breaks fine though it does not pull to either side

could the caliper piston be suck or not release properly? or could it be something else?

Re: scraping noise from passenger side wheel

Check the inside of the rim. It's possible that for whatever reason that the corners of the pads might be contacting the rim. If so I would double check to make sure all of the parts(including the rim) is the proper part for the vehicle. My niece has the same problem on her Dodge Neon due to a replacement part that was not quite an exact match.
