96 t bird bogged out no start

finaly gutted cat out has small exhaust leak.. car starts and idles but rpms wont go past 2000.. any ideas?? no codes either

Did you remove the 02 sensor on the other side also to see if that cat is also plugged???

no i have not it is raining but i will try it. you think 2 can go at same time?

Ye they could both be bad at same time, only removing the 02 sensor will tell you.

you can also take a couple plugs out and see if it get's enough air to run if it does run like that then cat is plugged.

1987ss after reading your original post again I am thinking your fuel pump is weak. You say koeo you have 30 psi it calls for 35 to 40psi. I would hook up your fuel pressure gauge again and watch the pressure as it runs see what it does after the engine gets to operating temp if it will idle that long. The boggong down sounds like it is not getting the fuel it needs. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter??????


I would still take out the 02 sensor or try Scrappers idea.
