1999 Silverado Drivers seat track

The manual seat track on my 1999 Silverado is broken and the seat will no longer lock in position. I would like to know if I can replace the manual seat assembly with a power seat assembly? If so, what years will work and is there a lot of wiring that is required?

Thanks,
Mike

Junkyards or eBay would be your best bet. Look for seats out of 99-02 trucks. Though, seats from 03-06 could work also. I had done the conversion myself with some seats out of an 01 from a junkyard and I love it.

For 99-02's some components were plug-and-play, but on seats I'm not sure. I wired up my seat to an ignition power source at the column, and grounded it at a front mounting spot for the seat.

When you get your seats, make sure you get the wiring harness at the seat, the whole thing, you'll need it.

What wiring harness are you talking about? My truck only has a small connector under the seat. The electric seats I picked up (couldn't find a manual seat) has the small connector the a wider multi-pin connector.

The small connector would be your seatbelt sensor (you could leave it unplugged as it does not affect your air bag system like most newer model vehicles)

The other connector is the harness I'm talking about...it's the harness for your Power Slide, Power tilt and raise/lower. Does your power seats have power recline or manual recline?

I ended up swapping out the broken back. It's not show ready, but it works. Thanks anyway.
