1999 Denali Drivers Seat Heater Not Working

I have a 1999 Denal in which the driver's seat heater has quit working. All other seat heaters still work in the vehicle and everything appears to still be hooked up and in good condition, no blown fuses either. Any suggestions?

It is most likely the heated seat module. It is located under the seats edge in the front. It's about a 3" x 2" box. This is what went wrong with mine. You can find it online for about $80. Good luck.

Its probably a broken wire in the seat bottom. An easy fix

You may have a wire burned in two in the seat bottom. This will cause the bottom and the back to stop working.
Remove the seat from the vehicle, remove the power seat track from the seat (4- 10mm bolts). Make sure the all of the plugs are removed from the harness.(TAKE YOUR TIME) Carefully remove the seat cover from the bottom cushion. Inspect the inside of the bottom cover for discoloration or a burn spot. If you find this burn spot ,slit the foam with a razor blade on the burn spot. If you find the broken wire ,cut out the bad section about an inch , skin off the insulation 1/2 inch on each end. slide 2 inches of heat shrink tube on one end. Solder the 2 wires together with electrical solder. slide the heat shrink tube on the bare spot. Shrink the tube with a hair dryer. Make sure that the heater wires are not laying on or crossing other wires. Put the seat back together. You may need some hog rings and pliers for the cover.
$6.00 for hog rings and pliers.
$2.00 for solder and heat shrink tubing.

Well, I have the same prob. on my 98 Tahoe LT now... The drivers side quit but the pass. works, so I'll try the module swap first I guess. Not too excited about working on pulling a seat in -5F temps out there, but I sure would like the heated seat now!

I checked for power at the switch, and I have 12V there... Would you have that if the module was bad, or if there was a burned out wire in the seat heating pad itself? Wish I had a schematic on this...
