Unhappy 01 Grand Am SE 2.4 turns over but won't run

My wife has a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE (2.4L) with ~160,000 miles.
We recently returned from a trip to Louisville (200 mi. round trip). When we tried to start the car the next morning, it will turn over and run for a second, and then die. For the brief instant that it runs, it sounds normal (no missing, etc), but even if i hold down the gas pedal it simply dies.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I can't really afford a mechanic right now (we just had a baby ). ~Thanks~

Is the security light on/flashing? Try Xeroinfinity's security relearn procedure in the link below:
