So, how long before Tamiya makes an HSV-010?

I was just catching up with Super GT for this year and noticed that the NSX was replaced with the HSV-010. I wonder how long it'll take Mr T(amiya) to want to have this produced, given his affinity for the NSX...

That also depend on how well the HSV-010 performs in the championship Tamiya simply wont invest on something that isn't competitive IMO

Dream on! Tamiya is losing money in making SuperGT model kit the past years. Well maybe next year you will see it coming out in R/C.

According to Super GT website, No.18 is leading the championship, but only by 1pt. If the car wins (or the subject is deemed profitable by Tamiya), the kit will probably be announced in April 2011 for a preview at Shizuoka Hobby show in May 2011, and will be released in June or July 2011.

The CF test version is really cool looking, very advanced design. I'd certainly buy one!

I hope they do it is a very unique and interesting car. I kept seeing pics of it but I didn't know what it was, then I noticed the Honda emblem on the nose and did some research til I knew what it was. It is interesting that the organizers waived the homogolation requirements. If they didn't allot of us would have never heard about or seen it.

I don't think it necessarily needs to be a winning car. Look at the Lexus SC430s. Tamiya hasn't made an updated version yet of the 2009 winner. I'd really love one, though.

IMHO, I think Tamiya will end up making one. You also have to figure that they can also make various teams off the same mold by just adding different decal sheets. Not sure exactly how long it will take for them to make the HSV, but I'd be certain that they'd make one. *cross fingers*

Not really, I was wating for tamiya make the re amemiya gt car and NO luck. I thouth when they won the championship in 2006, finally tamiya will release the re amimiya rx7, but than again nothing. So you never know!!!!

oh i would love to make one, i'll would go for the black test version it's amazing.
i don't really like the current graphics they are using.
i am no expert but i would guess that tamiya will sooner or later release this model. They covered the arta nsx and the new gt500 gt-r, so why not this one?

y'know, with some careful work, that paper model can be a very good starting point for making a 'solid' model from sheet styrene and two part putty.
