24 items? what all did you order and which ones shipped out right away? if HLJ doesn't have some of the items you're looking for, try HobbySearch @ www.1999.co.jp

Why do you order things that are not in stock??? It's so easy to see whether they currently have it or not that I don't see why waste time/effort backordering.

Retail stores don't usually ask the manufacturer when they make a particular kit. Problem occurs when manufacturers simply discontinue unpopular items without telling the retailers. Then, it's the stores, who have to tell their customers, "Sorry your backordered item was discontinued," after he/she waited for so long.
Unless you are insanely patient like me, waiting for more than one year for an out of stock kit, I suggest only order in-stock items. (A Le Mans Miniature kit was released two years after I sent my check.)
BTW, what are those 24 kits?

I think you might be in store for a higher shipping charge than I originally estimated. Probably $30-40 maybe even 50. From what I remembered from your order you have 4 or 5 kits and a LOT of spray paint, and spray paint weighs a lot.

I just got my shipping confirmation today for an order, the shipping was 2980 ($25) yen for 4 cans of spray paint, 3 kits, and misc. small supplies. On a previous order the shipping was around $17 for 3 kits and misc. small supplies.

Something else to think about; this happened with two of my last lot of orders. In one case some wheels i ordered were shown as in stock, after placing my order it's status was LOW then went onto BACKORDER shortly after. In the second case the TRD Altezza i ordered was shown to be in stock but was not and went straight onto BACKORDER. Nothing particularly strange about this really, but what i did find odd is that i still got sent these items after only a short wait, about a month for the wheels and a week or two for the Altezza. Neither of these were restocked at all at the time yet i still got them???

My guess is that someone else had canceled their order perhaps and the items were given to the next order in line. Or could HLJ have got hold of a small amount of the items for the order?????...I wonder!
