brake pedal problem

when I am stopped, my brake pedal keeps pushing toward the floor, until I have the brake on the floor! Sometimes, the car creeps a little (not fully stopped), so much that I have to put the car in neutral, just to stay still. if I pick my foot up, then press the brakes, it does it again. does anyone, or has anyone ever had this problem? it's not my brakes, it's the pedal... i don't know what to do!

I had my whole brake system replaced last year, and new brakes put on the front about a month ago, when I started noticing the problem, the back ones were good, but they cleaned them for me. I'm thinking, is there some sort of hydraulic system in the pedal itself?

You either have a leak, but by now you'd have run out of fluid and have no brakes at all or (and I'm pretty positive) YOU NEED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER.

Please have this fixed ASAP! We don't want to see a post regarding a front end crash shortly.

I'm assuming your brake fluid level is ok but I agree with NJMAX... sounds like a failing master cylinder. Please get it checked/fixed immediately.

I was checking out my manuel last night, and it may be the "brake booster". it said to pump my brakes a few times, and turn the car on and off. it seemed to help, but we'll see. i will definately get it checked out soon by a professional. thank you for your help!!!

HAVE U DONE ANYTHING TO YOUR BRAKE SYSTEM LIKE TAKE IT APART OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT? MY GUESS IS THAT YOU GOT AIR IN YOUR BRAKE FLUID VALVE LINE WHICH WILL CAUSE THE BRAKES TO FEEL SPONGY WHEN PRESSING DOWN ON THEM. TO FIX THAT IS VERY EASY, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BLEED THE BRAKES.
