Yea, they were painted blue on the outside, so after a while the blue paint burnt off, so all that was left was a plain old white light. doh!!
So he got some better lights and they worked out fine.

I did this "mod" if you want to call it that. I pulled on the knobs, they came off semi easy. I used a hair dryer to heat up the plastic, melting the glue slightly to peel off the platic ouside. I then sanded and buffed the face of the knobs to get rid of all the ugly shards of plastic you have on the knobs. Then i used transparent model paint, and pained the backs of them blue. They look awesome at the daytime, and glow bright blue at night, very cool!
