Tamiya Toyota GT1 - TS020

Guys,

I already have this kit to build but was just wondering if it is worth buying the clear view version instead, is there any extra detail in this kit over the standard kit I already have?

any info most appreciated as always!

Sean

Hello Sean!

I don't know if the clear version has some extra parts or not, but I have the kit at home and, if you want, I'll take some pictures for you when I get home later on.

Best Regards,
Pedro.

PS - I've seen your website from the link you posted on f1m.com and I think it's great! Congratulations!

The clear version is identical to the regular version (except clear)

I have them both, and no need for pics as the kits are exacly the same.
But one has a clear body, and one has a red body.

Sean,
in spite of what everyone else said, here are the pictures I promised. Some sprues are missing a few parts because I've started dry fitting the kit as soon as I bought it (a couple of years ago )

Re: Tamiya Toyota GT1 - TS020

Yeah there isn't any added detail in the GT-One clear view kit, just that added hassle of dealing with a brittle, clear body. I'd pass and build the regular kit of the car as it raced, but that's just me.

The only clear view kit I know of that has extra parts is the Williams FW24, it has peddles, suspension and steering parts that are visible through the clear monocoque.

Re: Tamiya Toyota GT1 - TS020

i'd go for the normal body.

if i were to get the clear one, i'd still paint it in clear colors (except white anyway) and still put the decals in. which partially defeats the clear kit purpose.
