Re: Mustang V.S. Evolution

a supercharged mustang would beat on the evo.
i thought we had that figured out.
and it's centrifugal, so the s/c would be making great high end power.

some serious newbage going on here though.

Re: Mustang V.S. Evolution

Negative on the beat, especially with just:

Performance Modifications
Engine Components: Vortech
Exhaust: MAC Performance
Performance Chip: JMS Chip

Major Upgrades: supercharger

But I will give you a very tight race.

Re: Mustang V.S. Evolution

I think weve established its a drivers race. Both are super quick. The new SVT has traction control right? Its gonna come down to the driver. I think it might take a little more skill to launch the evo right to take full advantage of the AWD.

GT stock is a high 13 second car, The evo is a low 13 second car. The GT with an AFTERMARKET Supercharger on it would likley be in the mid to low 12's. So tell me now.. Does the Evo beat the mustang?

From what I have seen the stock GT's up @ LACR (2700ft above sea level) run High 14's, Low 15's. I have seen one GT with a Vortech, full exhaust/no cats, 4,10's, no back seat, front runners and ET Streets run 13.20's and another GT with 175 shot of NOS ran 13.60's (Goodyear Street Radials). The EVO's run mid to high 13's, modded ones(Intake,Exhaust,Boost Controller run mid to high 12's.

no, it's not, b/c the mustang in question is NOT an SVT.
if you read the ENTIRE thread, you'd find that out.

regardless, i'm saying the mustang with an s/c on it will win.

against a STOCK evo.

Re: Mustang V.S. Evolution

Around here, stock Mustang GT's (from 1999 and newer) run the quarter mile in the low 14's, and the average Evo runs 13.7 (fastest stock one I've seen runs 13.5, but most aren't stock). So, I imagine that a stock Mustang GT with an aftermarket supercharger would be able to keep up with, if not beat, the Evo. It depends a lot on the drivers, but I'd give the Mustang the upper hand.
