Should I replace the CV Joints?

sup fam? been a while since i last checked in but heres the deal. My Civic is making clicking noises everytime i take a left turn. Now im pretty confident its my CV joint but i was wondering how much it would cost to replace this. I am actually thinking about driving my car without fixing it since i wanna get rid of the car in a couple months anyways. You think its worth the fix or not. help me out on this one. what would you do if you was in the same boat as me?

Re: Should I replace the CV Joints?

or you could go to the junk yard and pull one off of a car there for $50. Aslong as the boot is in good condition you're good to go.

Question transmission

A couple of months ago I installed an exedy racing clutch system in my 93 civic ex. All the bearings were in the kit, and all of them were installed with the other parts. After a couple of runs at the track it, the tranny, made a noise. When the car is in netrual and the clutch is out it makes a winding/grinding noise, yet when you push the clutch in the noise stops. And the axles pop when you turn and are in the process of being fixed but the tranny is my primary concern. What the hell is that noise?

It's your input shaft bearing, in order to fix it you will have to overhaul the tranny which I don't think it's worth it for yous since you are selling the car.

About the CV joint, it probably cheaper if you replace the whole drive axle. Then again it's up to your judgement on a new drive axle or find one in the junk yard.
