How easy is it to replace the lower ball joints?

How easy is it to replace the lower ball joins under the front hubs? Is there a procedure. Is it possible to do it yourself?

its actually pretty easy. just take the brake caliper off, take the CV nut off, and then take off the whole front knuckle. then beat the balljoint out with a big hammer. and then carefully beat the new one in with a hammer. tap all the way around the whole thing when you do it so you dont damage it.

Get a ball joint remover tool..you'll thank yourself. I was stubborn and declared I didn't need one..yea, after about 5 minutes, I gave in and borrowed one from a buddy.
