you were wrong about some serious shit like car facts, and tech
show me one thing that i said that was incorrect. show me one place where i said that 1st and 2nd gen stealth tt's and vr-4's have the same tranny. read carefully, i did not say anything even close to that, and i did not use google at all.

Ok - this thread has gotten out of hand.

Sorry I haven't been here is a bit, but this shit end here and now.

ikOnone has not been leading you astray GrungeAholicVR4.

There is a large presence of VR4s in Texas. The following is the production numbers for the years. If they are devided evenly through the population of the US (given warm weather climates would have more then of these then cold ones) there would be one VR4 per 18,000 people. Texas has over 20 million people. Do the math.

Lets keep it civil.

As to the original point of the the thread.

I have never done a tranny replacement. The one time I had to have it done (which I also had the clutch replaced with an RPS) the car was under warrenty. If I were to need to do the work you need to do, I'd also be looking at www.3si.org http://www.stealth316.com/0-frames.htm http://www.team3s.com and google. I'm sorry I couldn't just tell you what you need to know.

There are a couple guys on the board here who have done transmission replacements. Lets hope they have the time to stop in you thread and don't get turned off by the sidebar that took place.

Starting fights isn't the way to get help. Especially if you are trying to do it with the entire forum. Just FYI, we all do what we can. Some of us may not have the money or access for a full garage full of tools, but we do our best.. I havn't removed my tranny, so I really can't offer any advice, except for future reference...if you're a dick, people wont really care to help. That out of the way, good luck, our engine bays have no space, so I am sure that a job like that can't be easy ~ Geoff
Thanks for the info about not being a dick, lol, yes i know these are my first few psts on here, and i am looking for help, so far I have recieved nothing but good luck and best wishes and sarcasm, I laid down some sarcasm of my own in several post on this thread that were jump upon by obviously a very bored person. I stated that is was one of the only few people in texas with a VR4, let alone a second generation. blown out of proportion. Right after that, i was the next to post a reply, i ended the post with sarcasm again, something like the lone texas VR4 ranger, not really, but pretty close. I was wrong about production numbers, never really felt a need to look them up or waste my time knowing that information that is basically utterly useless and cannot assist me in my work at all. And as for iKonone, or w/e. I did misread your comment on the first and second gen trannys, just how you skimmed over the fact of my sarcasm, but as well, i never said anything about stealth and 3000gt tranny's, let alone cars being different, because they arent, simply body style and a few bells and whistles the 3000 got and dodge didnt. But then again, if you have nothing to help me with but useless knowledge man, leave it be, and let go. I have crap for cash, im a highschool student getting money for college, as well as my car that i got a serious deal on which i was proud of, i come in here for help and tips, i get nothing but wasted time, efforts, and useless everything. I appreciate everyone go to such extremes to "educate" me about production numbers, but i was never concerned about them to begin with. Just transmision help, hence the title. Now, as far as im concerned, im not reeading anymore bull shit posts about useless info. that has nothing to do with the thread. I just wanted transmision help, but it is becomeing painfully obviouse to me that many people here simply take their car in to be serviced, where is the fun in that? well, im out, if someone knows what the hell they are doing mechanically wise, or has a good link (theres a pretty good one on stealth316.com) but its kinda limited. So no more arguements, I dont want to waste my time on them, so you can be happy about your little production numbers, and availability of cars in texas, i live here, there are not many. Cars get sold, wrecked, ect. I have lived in houston for 18 years, i have only seen maybe 2 VR4's on the road in that time. And not to mention all the road trips i have taken to south texas, north, east, west ect. Theres not many here, if there are, they are in hidding, or not running, or are gone. well, im out, now if you have info that is important, please drop it. igovert500, and yogs, are being sincible, no more argueing, my bad guys, a lil stressed, and a lil angry over the useless info. and lack of attention spans on mine and the other "parties" side. Peace

again man, i am sorry that you took my post the wrong way, i did not intend to sound like i was making fun of you. the list was primarily to show you that there are plenty of other enthusiests in texas and i thought you could possible use that list and i bet someone on it would be willing to acctually go to where you are at and physically help you, something i would have offered if i was in the area. again, i am sorry, i did not mean it as a useless fact, i was trying to help. good luck and best wishes with your car.

Cool man cool, sorry we got on the wrong foot, it shouldnt happen again, just under a lot of stress for the damn car and family stuff, not taking it out on people i dont even know anymore, thanks for the time and info. I finally got the splines lined up and just kicked that fucker into place. lol, its in, and we have several bolts in the tranny again, just need to fine position it so that the rest of the bolt holes line up, then i have to put my car's pretty pieces all back together, (transfer case, half shafts, disc's, turbo piping, y-pipe, ect...0 all taken out for lots of room., o yea, and the hood came off...lol. peace man, any other info would be appreciated, I will make a step by step thread about how to drop a second gen tranny in my next thread based on my experiences these last several, several days. Hope it will help anyone else on this forum, ttyl, peace guys! no hard feelings anymore.
