The turbocharger specs are for base model. Type S have way too high compression to put big amount of boost. They would have to lower the compression first before anything.

BUT!!!!!!!
the rsx regular doesn't have a 6speed on it now does it???
is it hard to go from a type S reduce the compression ratio and then turbo it??? seems more logical since you'll be gettin the more fun 6speed tranny...

Talking I got mine too and it r0cK5!

I got the FirePepper Red RSX Type-S with Titanium Leather interior and it is great! The six speed tranny is unreal. I like the seats so much better than the Type-R's suade. I like the way it looks kinda a sleeper, it doesn't have pull me over written all over it but put your foot in it and hit the curves and look out. Congrats too everyone else who got one too. I can't wait to see the aftermarket scene for this car. With the I-VTEC you get a nice smooth HP curve which is a pleasant change from last years type R which had no legs until you got up into the VTEC. The new stainless borla exaust sound pretty good. Turbo magazine dyno'd it on the Type-S check this out:

The Borla system shows improvement everywhere you look throughout the powerband. Peak power checks in at 176.6 (at the wheels), an 12.7-horse improvement over stock. Torque jumped from 123.0 to 130.8 lbs-ft. Also of note is the aggressive jump as the iVTEC effect hits at about 5,700 rpm. This surge of power is much more apparent than previous VTEC engines and can really be felt in the cockpit.

The Borla exhaust is constructed of T-304 stainless steel and features 2.5-inch diameter piping, mandrel bends throughout and a straight-through muffler design. The system is terminated with a polished rolled tip that looks right at home on the Acura and sounds better.

A couple different mags did dyno's on the Injen short ram intake and they all got 15-18hp. Everybody seems pretty impressed with it. That intake with the Borla exhaust would be a pretty nice combo.

For all you RSX owners, check out www.clubrsx.com

Well, last weekend I finally took the S out for a spin. I loved it. I feel the car is absolutely perfect. So I bought one (Black), and it will be in soon (anticipation is killin me). It gets an average fuel milage of 27.1, which is superb with this type of performance. Honda is god in the automotive world. They are #1 (Yep, I'm a fanboy!).

I liked the fact that the car has a conservative, mature styling. Also the engine is great, the 6 speed tranny is awesome. It took me a little bit of time behind the wheel to get used to that sixth gear! I took the car out on the interstate and was shifting through the tranny, and I was looking for the next gear, when I realized I was already in sixth, and I was doing 85mph. Man this thing is smooth.

Also the interior ergo's are superb. The car is perfect IMHO. I would like to add the OEM body kit, tinted windows and OEM spoiler at some point. Probably after I pay most of it off.

Re: Opinion's on the new RSX Type-S

Lower this car a couple inchs, nice set of wheels, and a body kit and you have got your self a bad ass looking car. Very nice.
