How fast is the RSX S?

I love RSX's especially the S type. A girl of mine has 2002 RSX type S. What's the best they do in the quarter mile stock?

Re: How fast is the new RSX S?

High 14's if you're lucky, low 15's is what most people get, however.

With boltons though, you can hit 13s.

Well,... you might need a little race fuel and nitrous oxide to break into the 13's.

Re: How fast is the new RSX S?

yeah, the 05 has a better final drive and better gearing so the weight is more than countered by the gearing and power. I used to love the Jays

Mendari - uhhhhh wow, one RSX needed NOS to do that. Your point? At the track i've seen a guy do a 22 second run in his 2002 Mustang GT, does every Stang do 22s? I don't think so. I'll further prove my point later as I have to leave.

Don't expect to be hitting 13's on the daily. You'll need a turbo/supercharger, low compression pistons, and connecting rods.
I would have done it, but I didn't like the bottom line. The cost is way too high to get it to run consistently in the 13's.

I'm not here to fly flags, throw signs or claim sets.
I just want to drive fast.

Re: How fast is the new RSX S?

Uh huh.
A bunch of people have hit 13's on 91 octane, full interior, street cars with just bolts ons.

New tires, CAI, race header, exhaust, motor mounts, Hondata K-Pro. That's pretty much all that's needed and a good drive.

So....yeah. And about the AEM RSX, that pretty much only had NOS on a stock engine, however the high-potential K20A2 gets a lot more power when it loses the stock i/h and a slightly tweaked ECU.

There are many 200whp RSX's that are beating their Stage 1 and 2 turbo counterparts. So i'm not sure who told you you need to build the K to get it in the 13s. And by 13s I mean high 13s.

Stock RSX beating a stage 2 turbo?? wow and I brag about beating the hell out of Celicas and SOME stangs...and civics, love pounding the civics...but in order for a stock rsx to beat a turbo you have to me a friggin masterful driver, and pray

You're right, it didn't have an illegally modified catalytic convertor or an illegal exhaust manifold.

At the track, these mods helped hustle the RSX to 60 mph in 6.45 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 14.83.

Re: How fast is the new RSX S?

Not a stock RSX, a one with some good boltons.

Mendari - And NOS is legal for street use? And pullies are good for a daily driver? And that's one source. Jeez, MSN motors got a 8 second 0-60 in the RSX, do all of them run that bad? NO. And you don't have to use a race header or race exhaust, you can go with a legal exhaust and header, it'll just be a bit slower.
