i love the latest generation... is it gone or something? i never see any at dealerships. I must be a little slow

I read in my car book thingy that 2gens are more normal car-like, less sports carsy, if that makes sense to you guys. I myself don't care for it that much, but the latest are awesome

I'll be happy with the regular 150hp version but maybe I'll go with the quite ugly fronted 323 GTR it has rocking 190hp which are easy to increase to 210+ without touching the turbo

bandit...if 323 GTR is quite ugly...how about going 4 miata or eunos hatchbacks...miata is too pricey now but eunos h/back might be pretty affordable as these are best looking car after the 7s.

Eunos? The only Eunos I know is the Cosmo but you shure don't mean that. We have other names here in Europe e.g. the Miata is the MX-5. Do you have a pic or a link of the car you mean?

The Eunos is actually the mx-3. Sorry, i forgot about globalilty...hehe. Here and in some parts of Asia, they are called Eunos Presso or Autozam AZ-3.

Here's a link:

I have a question about the 2nd gen...

This morning, I saw a 2nd gen for $3500 U.S. in the newspaper classifieds. The only thing was, it was listed as a 2+2.

I wasn't aware that they made the FC3S in a 2+2. Is this true? If so, it would be great for my friend. He was looking at another FC for $2995, but he knew his insurance would be much too high with a 2 seater. He really wants an FD, but I know he doesn't have the money for it. A 2+2 FC might be right up his alley.

Can anyone help me out with this?

To my best knowledge the (86-88) GXL and the later GTU's are the only RX's to have the optional 2+2 model. Even though it has a back seat, you won't fit anything more than a small adult or child back there, (more as an insurance saving option).

Thanks!

That's what I needed to know. As long as a car has 4 seats, the insurance will be lower. That's why Porsche even bothered putting them in the 911s. The back seats will help my friend out with insurance, which was his big problem.

You can find a 2nd Gen in really good condition for under $4500. Convertibles usually are about $5000. Turbos should also be under $5000. High mileage (about 100k) is not really a bad thing on the non-turbo, and in many cases, very low mileage is a bad thing because the engine has not been run enough to keep the seals in good shape. Also, it is a bad idea to buy one from someone that says it's been babied all it's life. Rotaries like to be revved to redline, and if they aren't carbon builds up and can cause problems and a shorter engine life. I bought my car with 120,000 miles. It now has 135,000, and it is running stronger than it was before I bought it, partially because I drive it hard every single day.
