It isn't mine, it belongs to a friend. It was built last year, and is now undergoing a rebuild. I'll try to find a mod list.

What are my chances to find a 2nd gen RX-7 in driveable condition and will last at least 1.5 years for about 2k US$?
It of course hasn't to be top of the line but hopefully more than 150hp. |

Bean Bandit:
I've looked at them on autotrader.com and I've seen some in good condition for about the price you suggested. I'd check there. You probably won't find a Turbo II or a convertable, but look.

Oh, yeah...I see. autotrader.com is pretty US biased. There are other places, like vehix.com that might help...but I think they're the same sort of thing.

I'll have to save up to 10kUS$ for a 2nd gen in good condition. As I anyway don't have that much money I'll keep searching for a 2nd gen in the price range of 3k to 5k unfortunately it shure will have about 100k miles what is rather bad 'cause the engine could take more miles only if it was treated right
Anyway I'll keep saving money and some day in the future I'll have enough to fulfill my first dreamcar a 3rd gen with 20B engine (first dreamcar because it's the cheapest dream and maybe if fortune like's me I can afford my biggest dream a 993 Porsche Turbo S when I'm about 70 years old

I agree...u'll need 2 have US8-10k to get a good 2nd gen one. I got a 2nd gen '90 Turbo II or Mk5 for almost 10k which is the top spec except the 2nd gen infini 4 (215hp turbo version)...those only available in japan. now i'm looking for efini or i'll drop the 13B-REW into my 2nd gen
