'92 with little heat

Hi;
My '92 GrandAm (3.3l) produces only a moderate amount of heat, and not nearly enough for a cold Canadian winter.... At idle, the air cools down, then gets warm again after RPM's increase. I tried installing a new Thermostat, but no improvement. I even tried placing some insulation between the exhaust pipe, and the thermostat housing, which are close to each other. Anti-freeze levels are high. Can anybody help me? Thank you.

how much air is blowing out when you turn it up on high? might be your heater fan...not pushing enough out.

Re: '92 with little heat

Maybe your heater core is slightly plugged up. May be time for a flush.
