96 Trans Am with little or NO heat

My 96 TA has little or NO heat most of the time. Sometimes it will have some heat but then it goes away. I live in the midwest and it is very cold. Anyway, I put a new thermostat in and the engine heats up fine. What can I look for or do to fix this problem?

Re: 96 Trans Am with little or NO heat

i was told a heater under the oil pan keeps it warm. If it gets really really cold like in single digits pour in DRY GAS. mix it w/ 10 gallons of gas. This prevents the fuel lines from freezing. Try it and c wut happens. Thats what i do to mine since i dont have a garage.

Re: 96 Trans Am with little or NO heat

I live in CT, has been single digits for some time, and I notice my 96 coupe's vacuum lines that run vents to direct the heat seem to freeze until the car is good and warm. Seems to default to defrost and just stick there. The car is pretty cold until it thaws out enough to direct some hot air to dash vents.
