and if the implication was that my car looks like rice,
i think you're way off. what i read was: at least this guy didn't go the other route with his 240.

over a skyline's budget? how do you figure?
the cost of getting skyline alone, compared to that of a 240? for a car that you're going to cage and tub and put in a custom drive train?

did it ever occur that this guy just didn't want a skyline?
he was happy with the 240?

what's the weight of an r32 coupe compared to a 240? that'd be interesting to know...

and for drag racing, at the most extreme levels, you don't want awd. so why would you buy a car with awd (heavier) that you're going to take it out of?

simply put, this guy wanted to build a 240 drag car with an rb26 in it... so why question?

actually, not all skylines are awd like the bnr32 for example (something that i kind of stressed on on the previous posts). bnr32's have that sleek unibody just like the silvias. also, the engine was readily made for the car, and it obviously doesn't churn out the 280hp limit that japan regulates. it's inside the ecu that makes it super crazy just unlock the secret codes like you do on a gameshark and you're set to go. and most importantly, it costs under $20,000(in japan) compared to rather "Extreme" custom modifications on a 240sx. i dont want to waste my time looking at specs at the moment, but i'm pretty sure bnr32's run on near the level as a 240 in regards to weight. i'm not this particular person, so i dont control what he does. however, this is what forums are for: to comment on things. just note that this is only my biased opinion and same goes for yours. also, i'm not questioning, i'm commenting.
