i'm sure the reason he ran such a good time with that much hp is because of the weight of the car not because of how advanced the motor was look at the chevy LS1 it has 320hp and it doesn't run 9's if u strap a 300hp ford 302 to a 200lb go cart i'm sure you could get better than 9.87, and the fact that this guy's car doesn't have a distributor seems to amaze you for some reason, why don't u look at the ford 4.6L V8 it doesn't use a distribtor either and they have been putting those in mustangs since 96 and think they even started to put them in Thunderbirds earlier than that, it's not really that advanced of an idea.

And you're basing this opinion on ..............what? the 4.6 is a great engine it runs smooth there is very little vibration it runs smoothly at higher RPM's it has the OHC setup which IMO makes an engine last longer due to the fact that there is less friction, it gets good gas mileage, the musang GT gets 18-21 MPG around town, depending on how u drive it and 26-28 on the highway and that's good for 260hp and 300lb-ft of tq, y don't u tell us why the 4.6 sux.

LOL. you dont even know wtf your talking about. i dont know much about this engine, and yes, i would rather a 5.0 in a stang if i ever get one, but lets look @ how much power both engines put out.

the 5.0 in the 93 cobra r put out 235 hp. in 95, the last year of the 5.0 in stangs, the same engine put out 240.
in 96, the 4.6 in the cobra put out 300 hp
and today, that same 4.6 that 'sux ass' puts out 390 hp.
back in the day, the early 80's that 'great' 5.0 put out 115 hp.

my point is this. it might be true that the 5.0 kicks ass. but the 4.6 kicks ass as well. the 5.0 is built up more b/c its been out longer than the 4.6. preformance parts might me hard to find or might not be as abundant for newer engines. it problably is possible to get 3,000,000 hp out of the engine, but who knows. i like that engine, but i like the 5.0 more b/c its in my favorite body style (the fox body)

The 327...one of the best chevy motors .....Can be built to rev very high....and many other things. The 350 of course. the 396 bb the 400 sb isnt to bad of a motor. The all notorius 427. And last but not least the 454. Notorius.
