fuel cut-off

how bad is it to hit the fuel cut off in an rsx-s? i think the fuel cut off is like 1,000 rpm's above reeddline or around there

i was racing my friends rsx-s, and he just like slowed down abruptly and when i asked him what happened he said he guess he hit the rev limiter or fuel cutoff.
