Fuel cut off or not enuf fuel?

Ok, I'd just like to know from all you guys out there that have a rev limiter or fuel cut off, when you hit it, does it start popping, and backfiring, or does it straight up just feel like you let off the gas, or what does it feel like? 'cause I bought a ZC computer from this guy and he said that it didn't have a rev limiter, but it's weird, in first gear I can't hardly take it over 6 grand without it backfiring, but in second, I know I've taken it well over 6 grand, also in second it's not climing up the rpms as fast, so I was thinking my fuel pump isn't throwing enuf fuel in the mix, maybe? What's up!?

If u have a rev limiter it'll keep bouncing off. The reason its goin slow after 6 grand cause theres no power above wherever it can handle.

Uh, it can handle a whole lot more than that, it just starts backfiring, like I said, with the long ass geared HF tranny I got, I've taken it up to 90mph in 2nd gear. It ain't 'cause it can't handle it, trust me. Honda engines turn 8 grand easy.

That doesn't mean shit. I can take my car up to 8200 but that doesn't mean all the power is there. You can take it up to freakin 9 grand cause u have no rev limiter. Thats why u see alot of racers blow up there motors cause they dont know where to shift. Its not safe.Dont shift it above 7200 unless u upgraded ur cam and valvetrain. In order to have a high revving motor u have to build up the bottom end. Chip ecu , upgraded cam and valvetrain is just part of it. Anyways I'd suggest u get a pm6 ecu or something and see if its still have the same problem. OR get your car tuned up. Maybe thats what it needs. Check your distributor, spark plugs and wires. OR check the timing. Check all those first before checking the fuel pump.

Yea, someone else told me to check plugs and wires, I think I'll do that before fuel pump, but if all those are fine, could it be something with fuel distribution? ie pump or injectors?
