rwd ALWAYS better in handling?

its common knowledge that rwd cars handle better than fwd cars. but say u put an integra up and against a mustang v6 both stock on a road course. would the stand handle better than the teg?

Probably not since the Teg's suspension work would probably be better tweaked than a v6 mustang. If you want to compare, try a GT.

RWD is not allways better then FWD lots of people use FWD as a perferred drivetrain i'd say for what your compareing it depends on teh teggie a GS-R or ITR would muder it while the lower models would be too greatly overpowered and outhandled by a stang. BTW and ITR would probbly eat a GT so its not allways what wheels get power but like 80% RWD is better.

both rwd and fwd have their strong points. The integra type r is a great model of front wheel drive engineering, and would take most likely take out a mustang in an autocross course. The fwd pulls your car out of corners, if the ass end starts to come around on you, you hit the gas and the car will usually straighten out.

I raced an 89 GT 5-speed bone stock at Watkins Glen in NY. I had a ITR infront of me. I could hang right behind him in every corner. When we came out of the corners I would just pull past him and keep pulling my lead through striaghts. Both cars have thier strength and weakness.

My sister has a GSR and I've driven that enough to say that it definately handles better than my mustang. The mustang is long and heavy and difficult to turn at high speeds without drifting. American cars are fast in drags and Japanese cars are fast in rallys so its hard to compare the 2. So as GTStang said, both do have their strength and weaknesses. (nothing beats the 944 when it comes to handling )

It really depends on model and such. A V6 stang will more then likely be dominated by a front wheel drive car on a road course. A GT will fare better, but still could use some tweeking. Now if you get into Saleen, Steeda or Roush, then things might be a little different. Straight out of the box, I don't think the Mustang is much of a road course car, modifiy it and it will be awesome. Check out this guys site, he has one mean road course Mustang!! http://www.dariusrudis.com
