When I'm accelerating, the car will jerk at various speeds and I can't figure out why. I have a new fuel filter and I have just changed the spark plugs but the problem remains. I don't really know too much about cars, but if it's something I can fix I'd like to give it a try. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I would try a set of spark plug wires!!! It sounds like you are describing a misfire condition.
