95 Intrepid 3.3L jerks when accelerating

My 95 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L runs smoothly at constant speeds but bucks and jerks sometimes when accelerating. It also idles rough sometimes.
There are no warning lights lit up.

Re: 95 Intrepid 3.3L jerks when accelerating

...a lot of possibilities..too few details...but a few hints anyway:
crank position sensor is a common issue at that age and it can be changed in minutes on that engine. ALso, the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) can hold for a while if you accelerate by depressing the throttle slowly..and also at that age, it can slip under torque. SO...if you throttle fast, normally TCC turns off - RPM goes up a feww hundred rpm - and if jerks disappears in this condition then TCC shudder can be a real suspect.
Vacuum control valves and cracked hoses at rear of engine near rack and pinion and EGR valve can cause rough idle.
Other than than, lots of ignition issues...but most would illuminate CEL.
