THey have the right to pull you at 1mph over the limit. IN a construction zone, regardles if you see any dudes in orange hats, they will be much stricter then if you had been in a regular speed zone. Many people get killed in construction zones, something like 95% are related to excessive speed.
Dont want a ticket? dont break the law and if you understand that then dont blame the police for doing their job.
Jeebus Trist!! I wasn't trying to start a debate here! As a matter of fact, I tried to end it nicely with my last post. I recognize your point. The cop had every right to pull me over. I BROKE THE LAW. I KNOW I DID. Its not the first time and wont be the last unfortunately. I am very familliar with the law enforcement system, too familliar. I estimated that she was going 40 because when traffic slowed down, I noticed that all 6 cars in the little pack were all keeping very close to the same pace. I was a part of the pack. I was doing 39-41. As for my larger diameter wheels, no my speedo was not recalibrated unless someone did it for me and didn't tell me. But According to whalentire.com it is only off by approx .3 mph. Yes once I hit 46mph, she had the right to ticket me. My point was that I believe she was more displeased with the fact that I demonstrated an act of open defiance than me going 52mph. One is a crime punishable in the court of law, one is more of a personal insult depending on the extremity of the act. I don't blame her for anything. She did her job. I applaud her dedication, I am just commenting on how her reaction to me was much different than that which I have experienced in my previous 5 years of operating a motor vehicle in the presence of law enforcement. May I come down off the cross now???

Grow up and get over it. What did a traffic cop run over your foot or something? Next to domestic Violence calls, traffic stops are the second most dangerous situation the police are in.

Your attitude is repulsive and disgusting. Illustrative of all thats wrong, people refusing to accept the responsibility for their actions. Rather to point at those whose job it is to maintain order and accusing them of wrong doing, all to somehow feel better about your miserable existence; if yet one is lower still.
