I have the same car as you. 97 Civic DX. Buy a Civic DX Cold air off Ebay and then remove everything. You can't do a EX intake because the tube has to come from above. be sure to extend the pipe to the wheel well where the stock tube ends so you don't get the turbulant air off the engine. you may also want to build a shield to block the warm air, so that all the air is comming from outside(arround the headlight.)
