resonator

what the hell does my resonator box do

it looks like a big empty box to me and looks pointless

also why is the DX put together funny if you look under the hood of a DX you will see it is made funny.

Looks like I have to get a Special kind of CAI

hmmm

Man.. Rip the damn resonator box out.. and the tubing connecting it to your intake.. the only purpose it serves is to force warm, non-fresh, recycled air into your engine..

Thats just it there is not tube that connect it to my intake

my stock in take is mounted on top of this box and if I take it off all I will get is hot air hmmm let me see if I can explain how it is put together

if you are face my car lookin under the hood start my my left light is my stock intake tube then my resonator box
now my intake tube is mount on top of the box and the things that go down in it are part of the tube if I take it out of the box I have two big holes in my stock intake tube now from there it goes up to my fiter whice is mouth on my T.body whice point up .

Looks to me like they were going to make the DX a ram air then change there minds

Honestly..

I think its there for a smal amount of chemical blockage if you live in a heavily polluted area... Maybe not.. Thats what I heard somewhere.. But.. It serves no purpose to me.. If theres not a hose connecting it to the side of your filter housing.. Then.. someone removed it...

This is what my engine looks like just like this now you see the first black box by the light thats the box you are tell me to pull out now you see the tube on top stock intake tube now the other black box on top kind of in the back is my filter box. Now if I pull the tube and box out the I will just have the filter box then I will pull hot air in anyway so look at this pic and tell me what I should do

hmm...

I wont harm your engine at all to take out the resonator box.. As far as I can see... and using extreme logical conclusions... It serves no purpose.

Nah man...

You pull in nuetral air without it... and when you pull in the air from the resonator box... the plastic absorbs heat and the air insdide it expands and makes your engine take in hot humid air (humidity from expanding).. so.. its almost like your car has athsma..
