Glasspack as a resonator ???
How long will a glass pack (Thrush) last on one of our SR20's? I am doing a custom 2 1/4" cat-back next Friday and want to put in a 20" Thrush glasspack as a resonator. (It is perforated not louvered) But I want to make sure it lasts a while. I will have flanges welded on both ends just in case it does go bad (rust out), but I want to have an estimated lifespan on one.
Thanks!!!

Yea but guess what?
I know kung fu! :silly2: I was thinking the same thing, but every where I turn, people are using them for resonators, so I said what the hell and went for it. Thanks though!

Uh... Oh... Shnitz!
Actually, I meant I went ahead a purchased the glasspack. The actual job will be completed next Friday. I went up to the shop this morning so they could kinda scope out what I wanted then I set up a appointment. I will most definitely let everyone know how it turned out then. Here is the layout. 2 1/4" piping from the cat back with a 2 1/4" 20" long Thrush glasspack and a 2 1/4" Borla Stainless Exhaust. No tip yet. Will probably go with something somewhat OEM looking or just pick up a Borla stainless tip since I really like those. For now, it's all stock exhaust with an annoying leak in the rear. PppPppFffTTtt!
