anyone ever shipped a tranny?
i sold a tranny to "outofstep" and now i am haiving trouble sending it, fedex is fucking me around saying that the package weights too much, and is too large to ship (its not THAT big!) and ups says something about it being to heavy to ship, and since it has oily type crud on it (like baked on) they couldnt ship it because it could be an enviroment hazard
if anyone here has ever shipped a tranny, please reply to this post, he needs the trans. asap thanx in advance -audi

yeah you need to use a transport company, usualy you have to put the item on a palet and ship it thru them.

I shipped out my DX tranny when i sold it on ebay. I shipped it through UPS, i had no problems with weight or crap like that. I work at a car dealership at the parts dept, I just brought my tranny to work and shipped it out through the company. It was only like $35 to get it shipped.

i'vs shipped both motors and trannies w/ a place called ABF shipping. they have docks all around the us and is pretty fare. best of all the person can pay for the shipping when they pick it up. they have a website so u can see how close the one is near u and get an estimate...its www.abfshipping.com..thats not it but it will foward u to the right site.....
