Anyone ever worked with Delrin?
Thanks to rrdstarr, I was able to get my hands on a block of Delrin so that I could carve a bushing for my bumper. I had no idea that anything could be so hard to cut and sand!!! I had to use the band saw at work to cut the basic shape and then I sanded it mechanically and by hand for about 10 hours to get it shaved down to the right size. I'm hoping that this will help keep my swing arm from rattling while protecting the paint on the bottom of the arm. I had it go up the back so that it contacts the bumper there too. I put PVC tape on the bumper side for now (where the Delrin comes into contact) but will be looking for a firm and collapsible rubber to replace it with. Just one more step toward completion!
