Anyone ever seen a Pantera?

I just saw one being transported this weekend. It was red, coming the other way on the Freeway. Man, it looked really nice!

This isn't a definate sighting, but when I was driving around looking for houses, some hick house with an open garage had what looked like a beautiful Yello & Black Detomaso Pantera. It had a wing and looked a lot like one.

I've never seen one, which is odd considering the cars I HAVE seen. But a guy that used to be an employee of my dad's had one. I think I was alive then...maybe I have seen one, I was probly just 2 years old or something.

About the only one I seen was in 1:18 scale. They don't have many exotics, if that, around the Bronx. Might get stolen! :sun:

I've seen two, both at car shows. Never in action.

I've seen two in the last couple of weeks. I participate in the local car shows and both Pantera's were black.

One was stock and in beautiful condition. There were only three of us displaying exotics so the lineup was:
The black Pantera, a DeLorean, and my Porsches: 944 & 928.

This last weekend I had my 928 next to a different black Pantera and it had been modified. The gentlemen had a mechanical supercharger sitting on top of a built 350 V8. The 6-speed gearbox and axle was changed so 3rd gear was direct drive. 4th, 5th and 6th were overdrive. The car is capable of 245 MPH (on paper). He hasn't gotten it over 180 MPH yet. Hell, both of us were laughing because I haven't gotten the 928 over 145 yet! No where in Iowa to run our vehicles at the speeds they were built for!

We both may go down to Texas next year. They open a road up to high speed passes...much like going to the Salt Flats. You get a ten mile run and see how fast you can go. He and I have a tentative date to go. Trailer our vehicles and get there for the run. I used to race so I have the proper clothing for the high speed runs.

Working on a Pantera!

My boyfriend & his Dad are doing a complete restoration on a Pantera. I'm working on the upholstery & carpeting. Even in a million pieces it is definitely a hot car. Anyone seen any side-view pictures...dare I ask for pictures with wing & in a lighter color?!?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
