ECU Problems

I'm pretty sure my ECU is screwed, when i turn on the ignition the main relay goes nuts and the ECU light just stays on. If anyone has had this problem or knows someone who has please fill me in with some info.

Also..where can i get a new ECU for a reasonable price
What ECU's can I use

I know you're in a hurry, but to get one for a decent price, you're gonna have to keep an eye out on ebay or www.thepartstrader.com ...si ecu's should be no more than like $50...at the absolute most. other ecu's you could use would be the 88-89 teg....

ecu

yeah i would go with the 88-89 teg ecu. thats the one i have and it works great. better fuel, high redline. I wouldn't pay more than $50 bucks for a stock one.

There are no good junk yards around here, not ones with import parts anyway. Now if I wanted Chevy or Ford truck parts I bet I could get any part for any model dating back to the fifties I'll have to order from another junkyard and that makes me weary because I have no clue what im gonna get.
I also hate the fact that im not even sure if the ECU I have is bad. Im pretty sure but not possitive. Someone help me out here, My heads gonna explode:flash:

you dont 'have' to do this...but its a good idea..you can swap the guts of the teg ecu into your si case...the teg case has some funky legs and doesnt bolt in to the stock location...its simple...just unscrewing a bunch of things..should take 10 mins....just be careful, those boards get a little stuck in there....
