Exclamation obd1 to obd2 questions... type r in 92 hatch

my question is that i am currently in the process of buying a b18c5 (JDM) for a good price and i want to put it into my car (92 hatch). i'm hearing that the harnesses wont work because they are on the wrong sides (right side driver)...and i am also concerned about the obd1 (my car) and obd2 (b18c5).i was told that i can run an obd1 computer on this motor even though its obd 2. should i get the type-r ecu or should i get obd1 ecu and get it "chipped" how do you guys recommend i tackle these problems?

thanks in advance
