obd1 motor in to an obd2 question
I'm lookin to get an obd1 b16a2 motor for 2k and use the extra 900 dollars for a quaife lsd, instead of buying the obd2 b16a2 for 2800. Is it really that difficualt to put an obd1 motor in to an obd2 civic? i'm having it professionally done. I know i'll probably have to buy the obd2 to obd1 harness but will it make a difference. like what does obd2 have obd1 doesnt? in other words is it ok to put the obd1 motor in to the obd2 car instead of buyin an obd2 motor? thanks

i dont think that is legal here in california. concerning the rest of the states. i wouldnt know.
if you put the obd2 motor into the obd1 body, you should be legally fine.

Re: obd1 motor in to an obd2 question
if you're getting it done professionally then why are you asking if it's difficult if you're not the one doing it? and superbluecivicsi is right depending on where you live and the year of the motor, the year of the motor has to be equal to or greater than the year of the car.
